In China, we developed systematic and structural development programs to cater to the needs of talents at different developmental stages. These programs were developed based on business strategies and company leadership competencies model, which considers the background and developing needs of different groups of talents. By doing so we shape a clear roadmap for emerging leaders, developing leaders and advance leaders in global framework, in addition to regional talents.

Various Training Opportunity

As part of our commitment to the future development of individuals, we provide training in a wide range of occupations, giving numerous young people a flying start to their career. Because we see initial training as part of our social responsibility, our training levels are mostly above the industry average in Germany. We deliberately train in excess of our own needs because we believe vocational training means richer pickings for everyone. Our training facilities all boast up-to-date technology and we use the latest training methods, including e-learning. Some trainees even get to go abroad: In one instance, trainees from Germany helped install a pilot pump facility in Shanghai, China. 

Talent Development Program

Our development programs include different rotation programs home and abroad and cross-Business-Unit job opportunities for young talents; Leadership Effectiveness Advanced Program (LEAP) for supervisor/first-line manager and managers; Management Development Program (MDP) and succession plan for middle managers. These programs all aim to prepare our Chinese managers to play an increasingly important role in the global platform. 

Top Employer in China

Evonik China was honored as one of the "China's Top Employers 2009 East China Region" and "China’s Top Employers 2007 Shanghai Region" by the international publishing company CRF. In recognition of the outstanding achievements in HR management, Evonik China became one of the "100 Best HRM (Human Resources Management) Companies" and "Best HR Strategy" awarded by 51job.com in 2008. In 2006, Evonik China was awarded "Best Human Resource Strategy" by China Staff.
