Dr. Hans-Josef Ritzert

Regional President Greater China of Evonik Industries 

Dr. Hans-Josef Ritzert joined the former Degussa AG (since September 12, 2007: Evonik Industries AG) in 1990 as a polymer chemist. Since September 1st, 2011, Dr. Ritzert has become Regional President Greater China of Evonik Industries.

During his 21year's with Evonik, Dr. Hans-Josef Ritzert has held various technical and commercial positions in the field of methacrylate chemistry. In 1999, he was chosen to manage the Binders & Additives Business Line of Röhm GmbH in Darmstadt. Dr. Ritzert was head of the Catalysts Business Line from 2005 to 2009. Since 2009, he has been responsible for the Exclusive Synthesis & Amino Acids Business Line in the Health & Nutrition Business Unit.

Dr. Ritzert went to study at German Plastics Institute Darmstadt and awarded a doctorate degree in Chemistry (Polymers) by Technical University Darmstadt.
