Advocating Corporate Responsibility in China

As a member of Bo'ao Forum for Asia, Executive Committee of Foreign Investment Companies, the Association of International Chemical Manufacturers (AICM) and Advisory Council Member of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China (EUCCC), Evonik China is now widely recognized as a leading corporatre citizen of China.

Since 2006, Evonik China has cooperated with CEIBS to host the " Being Globally Responsible Conference", promoting the Corporate Social Responsibility concept among the current and future business leaders around the globe.

We also promote Corporate Responsibility and the Responsible Care Concept through our "Day of Open Door" events.

Sustainable development in China

In China, Evonik launched the "energy-saving" projects, giving solutions to automobile, construction, renewable and conventional energy, as well as making contribution to the realization of a 20% increase of energy efficiency in the "11th Five-Year Plan" proposed by Chinese government, and sustainable development of China's energy industry.

To optimize energy use, improve efficiency and save cost, the " Energy Check" project is started in which all of China's production sites and joint ventures went through an internal checking on energy use by energy management department.
